Is AURA free?
AURA is distributed through the Microsoft Store. All you pay for is your own API usage to the provider you choose, at their rates — or no API cost at all when you use a local Ollama model. App pricing details will follow once the Store listing goes live.
Does AURA store my conversations?
No. With the BYOK model, your conversations go straight to the AI provider you choose — never through Layar Digital's servers. Your API key stays on your own device.
Which API keys are supported?
Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, Google Gemini, and OpenRouter. If you'd rather not use an API key, you can run Ollama locally.
Can I use local AI so I don't need a paid API?
Yes. Install Ollama, pull the model you want, then pick the Ollama option in AURA — no API key, no internet connection, no API cost.
Is AURA available outside Windows?
For now AURA focuses on Windows. Support for other platforms isn't available yet.
